The title track off my soon to be released companion to CITY DEPTHS, "OPERATOR EP".
Where CITY DEPTHS captured the stillness and tension of the night, the OPERATOR EP brings to life the dark beats heard echoing through the city.
Many of the sounds were programmed and played on the Teenage Engineering Pocket Operator SUB. Its a fantastic little analog machine.
All music composed, performed, and produced by Bryce Miller.
Album photography by Bradley Miller.
Inspirations include: John Carpenter, Cliff Martinez (Drive, Only God Forgives, The Knick), Disasterpeace (It Follows), Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross (Social Network, Gone Girl, Girl With the Dragon Tattoo), Vangelis, Johnny Jewel (Glass Candy, Symmetry), Krzysztof Penderecki (Used in The Shining), Tangerine Dream, Rob (Maniac), Goblin, Daft Punk (Tron), Mica Levi (Under the Skin)
This album gently, yet skillfully, plays with aural space, creating beautiful pockets of light and darkness with smoky and twinkly parts galore. spandAnanda
Never ever feel as precise the feeling i'm travelling through the infinite Cosmos, but safe in my chair. My personnal favorite album of Wojciech, just in front of Hiroshima, and that saying something about the work and the talent of the man. Cosmoclems
It don't know why I love it so much. I keep returning to it. Maybe it's because it isn't your standard synthwave album, full of repeating synth patterns, but a delicate composition of electronica sounds that in the end feels like you just read a cool cyberpunk story. RforArgh
